Straight Truth, Real Love

Talk about a labor of love! The outrageously insightful Dr. Jerome Burt is one of my oldest and dearest friends, and this project started with a simple email: “Hey, I think you should do a blog.” Fast forward seven months, and a simple blog has turned into what we hope is a revolution. For Straight Truth, Real Love, we worked hard to capture Jerome’s voice and spirit in both the content and the video (shot and edited by our friend and partner Julie Caskey). We’re just over-the-moon excited about launching this site. And can’t wait to see Jerome on Oprah!

Antioche Soaps

As soon as Sevgi Dermikol pulled her amazing soaps out of her bag at our first meeting, I knew I had to work on this project. (It didn’t hurt that Sevgi is as lovely as her product). We worked together to craft a voice for her new site that captures the passion she has for her soaps as well as the commitment she has to helping the women in Turkey who handcraft each bar. Photographer and designer Unni Raveendranathan created the gorgeous site.

Aidells Sausage

Aidells Sausage Company thought all they needed to do was update their website. But what quickly emerged was a need to refresh their whole brand.

That’s when Story House was called in. We not only wrote all content for the site, but also worked closely with both the marketing team and the designers on the site’s architecture and look and feel.

We’re just thrilled with the results.* The site really reflects Aidells’ core values: hand-crafted products, extraordinary taste, care, and a commitment to exceptional quality and service.

And like with a house you start renovating, the “renovation” of the site had a domino effect. We’re now helping Aidells with packaging, market research, their new newsletter and lots of other fun projects.

Velvet Brigade

When I heard we got to work with a trucking parts company, I made sure to wear my favorite cowboy boots to our first meeting. After entering the board room, I quickly realized: these were serious technology pros who were going to revolutionize how big guys like FedEx Express find the parts to fix their trucks. We worked with Connector Branding to reinvent their site’s content from top to bottom, giving them a fresh, powerful and “get down to business” voice that appeals as much to a VP as it does to a mechanic.

Redi Shade

Redi Shade made its name by inventing the temporary window covering, but in years since, their product selection had grown enormously. They decided to ditch their corporate website and go for an e-commerce site targeted to women. We were brought in by Connector Branding to write their new tagline and create all content for the site from home page to product descriptions.
